Telugu actor Arvind Krishna of Shukra (2021) fame has participated in the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3×3 Sagamihara Quest hosted by 3BL Japan.
Similar to IPL in cricket, 3BL is a condensed version of basketball featuring only three players and one substitute.
“Being part of such a prestigious championship was a fantastic opportunity for me. I aimed to make the most of it, and I am pleased to say that I successfully did so,” said the actor.
Arvind Krishna is currently shooting for his film A Masterpiece, a multilingual superhero project.
The actor earns the distinction of being the sole Indian to have taken part in the sports event held in Japan.
As the captain of the Hyderabad 3BL team, Krishna led players from various countries, including Balla Kouyate, Takaharu Tsugawa, and Mayori.
His team is actively participating in the qualifiers, with more games slated for the next year.
Over the past four months, the actor dedicated himself to rigorous practice sessions, focusing on extensive workouts and honing his gaming techniques in preparation for the tournament.
Arvind Krishna said, “Being a part of this team is undeniably an immense honour. The blend of young talents within the team has provided me with valuable insights, enhancing my understanding of the game on a global scale.”
“Working alongside them has not only exposed me to diverse cultures but has also deepened my appreciation for various game strategies of basketball,” he added.
