Actor Sivakarthikeyan is basking in the success of his films Maaveeran (2023) and Ayalaan (2024).
Ayalaan recently crossed the box-office collection of Dhanush’s Captain Miller in Tamil Nadu.
Sivakarthikeyan will next be seen in Amaran, which was tentatively titled SK21.
The teaser of Amaran was unveiled by veteran actor-director-producer Kamal Haasan whose Raaj Kamal Films International is bankrolling the movie.
The teaser was released on Friday, 16 February, a day before Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday (17 February).
In Amaran teaser, Sivakarthikeyan appears as an Indian Army Rashtriya Rifles officer.
Sharing the teaser on X, Kamal Haasan wrote: “Alongside the teaser, he wrote, “Happy birthday dear brother @Siva_Kartikeyan I wish you a long life. #Amaran Delighted to release the title teaser of the movie (sic).”

Actor Sai Pallavi, who plays the female lead in Amaran, also extended wishes to Sivakarthikeyan for his birthday.

Amaran is directed by Rajkumar Periyaswamy of Rangoon fame. He wrote the script too.
It also features Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, and Ajaey Naga.
The action thriller has intense emotional moments and revolves around patriotism.
The music is composed by GV Prakash.
The cinematography is handled by CH Sai.
