‘Viduthalai Part 2’ on OTT: Where to watch

Viduthalai Part 2 on OTT

Vijay Sethupathi starrer Vidhuthalai Part 2 after receiving appreciation from audiences and critics alike is now available for a wider audience on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.

The film directed by Vetri Maran was the most anticipated sequel to the 2023 hit Viduthalai Part 1. 

Announcing the same, the OTT platform wrote on X: “Hero or a villain? Listen to Vaathiyar speak his-story #ViduthalaiOnPrime, Watch Now.

The film has been streaming on the platform since Sunday, 19 January. It will be available on Tamil and Telugu.

Directed by Vetrimaaran, this sequel to the 2023 film is a captivating mix of action and raw emotions.

The second part focused on the character of Perumal Vaathiyar played by Vijay Sethupathi. In the first part, his role came towards the end and was incomplete.

Like other Vetrimaran films, Viduthalai Part 2 focuses heavily on delivering messages, with dialogues that empower oppressed people by emphasising strong, and impactful ideas, creating a long-lasting impact, which stays with the audience long after the film is finished.

Viduthalai Part 1 

Viduthalai Part 1 centred on Soori’s journey as a constable tasked with capturing a separatist leader, played by Vijay Sethupathi.

The first part propelled Soori into the spotlight as the lead, in a gripping period crime thriller. Vijay Sethupathi’s pivotal role was key to its blockbuster success among Tamil and Telugu audiences.

Its cast also includes Bhavani Sre, Rajiv Menon, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Chetan, Ilavarasu, Balaji Sakthivel, and Saravana Subbiah.

With music by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja, cinematography by R Velraj, and editing by R Ramar, the film is produced by RS Infotainment’s Elred Kumar and Vetrimaaran’s Grass Roots Film Company.
