Ajith Kumar and the Vidaa Muyarchi team have completed filming in Baku, Azerbaijan. His publicist shared a video and photo from the set on X.

Written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaa Muyarchi is nearing completion and is expected to wrap up in a few weeks. Reports suggest it will likely be released in theatres during Diwali.

Vidaa Muyarchi, an action thriller, also features Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, and Arav.

The technical crew of Vidaa Muyarchi features Anirudh Ravichander composing the music, marking his third collaboration with Ajith after Vedhalam (2015) and Vivegam (2017). Om Prakash handles cinematography, and NB Srikanth is the editor. Produced by Lyca Productions, the release date will be announced soon.

The makers of Vidaa Muyarchi recently released the third look of the film. Unlike the intense action scenes in the previous looks, this one shows Ajith with Trisha in a relaxed dinner date setting.

This is their fifth collaboration and first in nearly a decade, following Ji (2005), Kireedam (2007), Mankatha (2011), and Yennai Arindhaal (2015).

Initially set to be directed by Vignesh Shivn, he left the project due to creative differences with the production house.

Filming for Vidaa Muyarchi began in October last year. Sadly, art director Milan, who was working on the project, passed away from a cardiac arrest that same month.

Netflix has acquired the film’s post-theatrical digital rights.

Ajith, last seen in Thunivu (2023), also has Good Bad Ugly directed by Adhik Ravichandran in the pipeline. The actor’s 63rd film is planned for a Pongal 2025 release, though an official announcement is awaited.

Announced on March 14, Good Bad Ugly is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under their Mythri Movie Makers banner. The film features music by Devi Sri Prasad, reuniting with Ajith after their 2014 film, Veeram. Abinandhan Ramanujam is the cinematographer, and Vijay Velukutty is the editor.
