Actor Ajith’s two major ventures— Good Bad Ugly, and Vidaa Muyarchi were scheduled to release around Pongal. However, much to the fans’ disappointment, both films have been postponed.
While the former is aiming for a summer release, the latter is set to hit the screens soon.
On Thursday, 16 January, the makers announced the release of the film along with an action-packed teaser. Vidaa Muyarchi is set to release on 6 February. The film is also releasing in Telugu with the title Patudala.

It is written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions. Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra will play major roles.
The film’s shooting commenced in October 2023. It was initially supposed to be helmed by Vignesh Shivan. But he was later replaced by Magizh Thirumeni.
Vidaa Muyarchi boasts an impressive technical crew, including cinematographer Nirav Shah, editor NB Srikanth, music composer Anirudh Ravichander, and stunt master Supreme Sundar. Netflix bagged its digital streaming rights.
Ajith and Trisha are collaborating for the fifth time after Ji (2005), Kireedam (2007), Mankatha (2011), and Yennai Arindhaal (2015).
Interestingly, the film is releasing a day ahead of Dhanush’s Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), while his other release, Good Bad Ugly, coincides with Dhanush’s other directorial Idli Kadai.
Good Bad Ugly which features Ajith in a salt and pepper look is releasing on 10 April. The film directed by Adhik Ravichandran is anticipated to be an action thriller, with Ajith playing a triple role. The film also stars Trisha as the female lead.
