Known for his intense physical transformations, Vikram revealed that he grew his hair and lost weight to portray the character in Thangalaan.

The music was composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Thangalaan also drew accolades for its intense action sequences and Pa Ranjith’s signature storytelling.

“Thangalaan reaffirms Pa Ranjith’s authority as a storyteller, demonstrating his innovative approach to reinterpreting history and making it relevant for contemporary audiences—a quality that was only sporadically evident in his recent works,” reads our review.

On the work front now, Vikram has signed up for his next film Veera Dheera Sooran directed by SU Arun Kumar. The movie stars Dushara Vijayan as the female lead.
