SJ Suryah all praise for Veera Dheera Sooran director SU Arun Kumar

Actor-director SJ Suryah, who is part of director-writer Arun Kumar’s upcoming flick Veera Dheera Sooran Part-2, is all praise for the filmmaker.

Taking to social media, Suryah said he was astonished by Arun Kumar’s filmmaking style and the way he conceived a pre-climax scene in the film. The scene was picturised on Vikram, Suryah, and Siraj in Madurai.

Suryah revealed that Arun Kumar rehearsed the scene with his assistant and team for 10 days and then made the actors rehearse in the location for three nights before filming it. The actor appreciated the dedication of the director and producer Shibu Thameens towards the film.

Veera Dheera Sooran is headlined by Vikram. Suryah plays a police officer in it. The makers unveiled a poster of the actor on 20 July, marking his birthday, and praised his hard work and passion for cinema.

Veera Dheera Sooran marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu. The shooting is progressing rapidly.

The music will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The film is produced by Riya Shibu for HR Pictures on a grand scale. Theni Eswar is the cinematographer and Prasanna GK is the editor.

Besides Veera Dheera Sooran Part-2, Vikram is working on Thangalaan, under the direction of Pa Ranjith.

On the other hand, SJ Suryah was last seen in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 and Dhanush’s Raayan. However, his talent was wasted in Indian 2 and the film missed the mark. But his character (gangster Sethu) in Raayan drew wide appreciation. Released on 26 July, the movie grossed over ₹112 crore within a week and is still running to packed houses.

Dhanush’s directorial Raayan also achieved a rare milestone; its screenplay has been included in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences library.

He has an impressive lineup of films this year, including Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, Ram Charan’s Game Changer, Shankar’s Indian 3, Vignesh Shivan’s Love Insurance Kompany, and Karthi’s Sardar 2.

Meanwhile, Arun Kumar made a name for himself in the industry with films like Pannaiyarum Padminiyum (2014), Sethupathi (2016), and Sindhubadh (2019). However, he made the world sit up and notice with his latest directorial Chithha (2023), starring Siddharth.
