Selvaraghavan’s ‘7G Rainbow Colony’ to get a sequel

Director Selvarghavan on the occasion of New Year, announced that his cult classic film 7G Rainbow Colony (2004) will have a sequel after 21 years.

The film released about two decades ago, was a love story, and revolved around a young underachiever Kadhir, and a north Indian girl Anitha. It starred Ravi Krishna and Sonia Agarwal in lead roles.

Announcing the sequel, the director, also shared a poster of the film. The poster showed a silhouette of a couple walking on an empty road at night. It mentioned that the film is in its final stages of shooting.

While the cast of the film has not been announced yet, Selvaraghavan announced the music director and the technical crew of the film.

However, few reports noted that Ravi Krishna will reprise his role as the lead, and his romantic interest will be portrayed by the talented Malayali actress Anaswara Rajan.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, who composed the music for the 2004 film, will give the music for the sequel too. Cinematographer Ramji will handle the camera. The film will be presented by AM Rathnam.

Meanwhile, the filmmaker also has another film in the pipeline—Mental Manadhil. He is collaborating with GV Prakash, after Aayirathil Oruvan and Mayakkam Enna, marking it their third project together.

The film stars Madhuri Jain as the female lead and is supported by a talented ensemble cast. GV Prakash Kumar will be backing the film under the banner Parallel Universe Production House, and will also score the music.
