The newest addition to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU)— Raghava Lawrence’s Benz is back in the news.
This time for inducting a new talent into the crew. Independent musician Sai Abhyankkar, who rose to fame with songs like “Aasa Kuda” and “Katchi Sera”, will debut as a music composer for the film. He is the son of singers Tippu and Harini.

To make the announcement, the makers also released a small video starring Abhyankkar, Benz director Bakkiyaraj Kannan, and writer-producer Lokesh Kanagaraj.
The video starts with Abhyankkar complaining about his dull life and soon realises his passion for music and entertainment. He then ventures into music, and is seen singing “Aasa Kuda”, during which the director and producer approach him and offer him the movie.
Another titbit added is director Bakkiyaraj Kannan clarifying that the film is an out-and-out action entertainer.
The makers wrote on X: “Welcoming the sensational Sai Abhyankkar as the music director of Benz. Team Benz wishes you a very Happy Birthday. With you in our katchi.. we’re as excited as everyone to witness the magic you’ve created. May this year be filled with success & blockbusters.”

The teaser of the film showed Raghava in a chef’s role. However, at the end of the teaser, the actor is seen splattered with blood. The story of Benz is by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Jagadish Palanisamy and Sudhan Sundaram will back Benz under The Route and Passion Studios banners, respectively.
Not much is known about the cast and crew of the film, while it is expected to start shooting soon.
Apart from Benz, Raghava Lawrence has Bullet, Adhigaram, Durga and Kaala Bhairava in the pipeline.
