Actor Suriya, after the release of his big-budget film Kanguva, is now joining the sets of his next venture directed by RJ Balaji.
The yet-to-be-titled film is being referred to as Suriya 45. It is anticipated to be an action thriller. On Wednesday, 27 November, the film’s shoot kicked off with a pooja ceremony at the Sri Masaniamman Temple in Pollachi.
Sharing the stills from the pooja, the director wrote: “A new happy beginning ❤️ #Suriya45”

Joker, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, Sulthan, and Farhana are some of the other films backed by the Dream Warrior Pictures production house, which is also producing Suriya 45.
However, according to reports Suriya 45 will supposedly be the costliest film of the production house. The film’s music will be composed by the legendary AR Rahman.
A few reports also suggested that the film will see a reunion of Trisha and Suriya after two decades, however, there has been no official confirmation yet.
Suriya was last seen in Kanguva. The action entertainer opened to mixed reviews, with many complaining of sound issues and a lack of a strong story.
“Kanguva has an ambitious world set by its director Siva and Suriya delivers an impressive performance. The movie also has stunning visuals and is a technically sound film, but more focus on the story was needed,” our review read.
Apart from this, Suriya also wrapped up shooting with Karthik Subbaraj for the yet-to-be-titled Suriya 44. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Suriya 44 is one of Suriya’s anticipated films, with elements of romance, humour, and war.
The movie also features Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, and Sujith Shankar in crucial roles.
