Keerthy Suresh’s latest outing, Raghu Thatha, is set to make its OTT debut on ZEE5 on 13 September. The movie was bankrolled by Hombale Films, the banner behind the blockbuster hits like KGF and Salaar.
Directed by debutant Suman Kumar, the Tamil movie boasts a strong social narrative and powerful performances. Suman Kumar is known for writing the scripts of The Family Man, Guns & Gulaabs, and Farzi.
Raghu Thatha will be available on the OTT platform in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages.
The film revolves around the female lead Kayalvizhi (played by Keerthy Suresh). It explores the life of this young woman who navigates complex societal challenges, including language politics and gender dynamics while standing firm on her beliefs.

Keerthy Suresh, known for her critically acclaimed role as Savitri in Mahanati (2018), expressed her excitement for the film’s digital release in a statement. “Playing Kayalvizhi was a unique experience, as the character embodies resilience and conviction. I’m thrilled for viewers across the world to engage with her story on ZEE5,” Keerthy Suresh shared.
Vijay Kiragandur, the founder of Hombale Films, joined her in the excitement. “We are pleased to partner with ZEE5 to bring Raghu Thatha to a global audience. The film addresses significant social issues with humour and heart, and we’re excited to see the reaction from viewers.”
Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh has a lineup of projects. These include two Tamil films—Revolver Rita and Kannivedi—and a Hindi movie, Baby John alongside Varun Dhawan.
This year, besides Raghu Thatha, the actor appeared in the Tamil flick Siren where she shared the screen with Jayam Ravi. Further, she lent her voice to Bujji, the futuristic robot vehicle in Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2998 AD.
