“Kanguva is not all about action, it is in fact rooted in emotions,” said Tamil star Suriya, who is busy promoting the high-octane film.
Kanguva is gearing up for release in less than two weeks on 14 November. As the release date is nearing, the team is busy promoting the film, especially in the south Indian cities.
As part of the same promotions, Suriya interacted with the press in Kochi on Tuesday, 5 November.
Speaking with the media, he said, “None of our team members have worked in such a film before, it is very unique, it is not just about action, there are a lot of emotions involved.”
Further speaking about the movie, he said, “Kanguva has a world, and the story will stand by it. I wanted to see this translated on the big screen.” Suriya further noted that he is excited to watch the movie in 3D.
He added, “There are different clans in the story. Kanguva’s clan worships fire. Other clans worship water, blood and so on. The movie is all about these clans and Kanguva is a warrior of one of the clans.”
Praising the director, Suriya noted, “Siva is well-versed in Tamil literature, he made sure to give great clarity to every character.”
“It’s also an exceptional feat for Siva to oversee all the departments. I was excited by the grandeur of the movie. I was thinking are we doing this movie with all these elements including the fight scenes by Supreme Sundar?”
“We have put in a lot of effort for the film, it is a labour of love. We shot the film as a family,” he added.
Suriya also added that Kanguva has been receiving a great response from the people who have already seen the film.
