Director Gautham Vasudev Menon who is currently promoting his first Malayalam film Dominic and Ladies’ Purse revealed that he is currently in talks with ace director Vetrimaaran and actor Ravi Mohan.
Speaking with Galatta Plus, the actor when asked about his next projects said that, he is planning to direct a movie written by Vetrimaaran, which will be headlined by Ravi Mohan.
“I am speaking with a lot of writers, there is a discussion with Vetrimaaran about a story by him, that I get to direct. We are just discussing that, it seems like a very interesting story to take forward like a film. It is with Jayam Ravi,” he said.
He further added that he has also been speaking to a couple of Malayalam writers.
Earlier at the Madha Gaja Raja success meet, actor Vishal announced that he will be working on a film with Gautham Menon. However not much is known about either of the projects.

He co-authored the script with Neeraj Rajan and Suresh Rajan, who earlier wrote Dulquer Salmaan’s ABCD (2013) and contributed to Joju George’s Iratta (2023).
Gautham Menon’s debut in Malayalam cinema was highly anticipated, especially after the director expressed his interest in working with Fahadh Faasil and Mammootty.
While Dominic and The Lady’s Purse is Gautam Menon’s first Malayalam film as director, he made a brief appearance in Anwar Rasheed’s Trance in 2020. He also plays the role of a police officer in the upcoming Mammootty starrer Bazooka.
Ravi Mohan is riding high on the success of Kadhalikka Neramillai and is now working on his 34th film, directed by Ganesh K Babu. He also has several projects lined up, including Genie, SK 25, and Thani Oruvan 2.
Meanwhile, Vetrimaaran recently released Viduthalai: Part 2, which received positive reviews, and is gearing up to begin production on Suriya’s much-anticipated Vaadi Vaasal.
