Raayan had 60.85% Tamil occupancy, 26.12% Telugu occupancy, and 11.20% Hindi occupancy on day 2. The film has earned an estimated ₹20.7 crore worldwide, performing well in Tamil but failing to attract the Hindi-speaking audience.

With Sunday’s (28 July) collection, Raayan will enter the top 10 highest-grossing films in Dhanush’s career. Vaathi (2023) currently tops this list with a gross collection of ₹118.20 crore worldwide. In just two days, Raayan has already earned 36% of Vaathi’s total earnings.
Raayan has surpassed the opening day collection of Dhanush’s previous Tamil film, Karnan (₹10.4 crore), becoming his biggest opener, to date.
Raayan, rated ‘A’ with a runtime of two hours and 25 minutes, features Dhanush, SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, Dushara Vijayan, Prakash Raj, and Selvaraghavan. The film’s impressive music, composed by AR Rahman, plays a crucial role in its success.
Raayan, also written by Dhanush, is bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Om Prakash handles cinematography, and GK Prasanna serves as the editor. Ace stunt coordinator Peter Hein choreographs the film’s stunts.
