Bottle Radha on OTT

Produced by Pa Ranjith, Dhinakaran Sivalingam’s directorial Bottle Radha, received mostly positive reviews upon its release in January.

The movie deals with alcoholism, with the lead character struggling to overcome the addiction.

The film is now gearing up for an OTT release, to reach a wider audience.  Bottle Radha is set to stream in Tamil on Aha, from 21 February.

Sharing the news, the OTT platform wrote on X: “A story that stirs your emotions and brings a smile to your heart!
#BottleRadha premieres from Feb 21st only on namma Aha Tamil.”

The film features a talented main cast including Guru Somasundaram, Sanchana Natarajan, John Vijay, and Pari Elavazhagan. Directed by Dhinakaran Sivalingam, the movie is produced by Pa. Ranjith. The music is composed by Sean Roldan, with Roopesh Shaji handling the cinematography.

While films that deal with alcoholism are nothing new to Tamil audiences, movie buffs had enough reasons to look forward to this outing.

Guru Somasundaram carried the entire film on his shoulders with his impeccable performance. He portrayed the titular role gracefully, displaying the varied emotions and vulnerabilities of an alcoholic like never before. His convincing body language and expressions outweighed some of the film’s flaws.

“The highlight of Bottle Radha is that it gives hope to people who are struggling with various problems. It emphasizes the need to have compassion, patience and perseverance to battle day-to-day woes. Bottle Radha is that feel-good motivational movie that you crave to overcome your insecurities. Despite the minor flaws, the silver lining is the lack of forceful or superficial elements that would have clung to a dramatic story like this. The biggest success of the movie is that it manages to leave a smile on your face,” our review read.
