Tamil actor Ajith, who is a known motorsports enthusiast, recently stated that he would prioritise racing over movies till the end of the racing season in September.

Currently, he is in Dubai pursuing his passion for motorsport gearing up for the 24-hour Race. On the sidelines of the same, he interacted with the media. Answering a question from the reporter, if the production houses insist on including “no races” in his contracts, the actor answered, “I don’t need to be told what not to do, so for now, as I plan to pursue motorsports, not just as a driver, as a team owner as well, until the racing season is on, I wouldn’t be signing any film.”

He added, “Probably between October and March before the racing season commences, I will be doing films so that no one is worried and I can fully focus on racing.”

Earlier this week, Ajith survived a car accident during the racing practice in Dubai, causing a stir among fans and followers.

However, he escaped unharmed and was reported to be safe and in good health.

The actor’s racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing, comprises Mathieu Detry, Fabian Duffieux and Cameron McLeod. Duffieux is the team’s manager.

In the 24-hour race, each driver is supposed to be on the wheel for six hours and Ajith was just minutes away from completing his endurance training session before the crash.

On the work front, the actor has two releases in the pipeline— Vidaa Muyarchi, and Good Bad Ugly. Initially, both were anticipated to be released for Pongal, however, both have been postponed due to unforeseen conditions.
