Karthi26 is touted to be a wholesome entertainer and Karthi is said to be playing a huge fan of late actor-politician MG Ramachandran.

A short video showed a clapboard sporting the MGR’s picture.

Karthi’s actor-brother Suriya and their father Sivakumar also attended the pooja ceremony.

Sources say Karthi26 might be titled Vaa Vaathiyare.

The other cast includes Krithi Shetty, Gautham Karthik, Sathyaraj, and Anandraj.

Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music for the movie.

Karthi’s 27th film is expected to be titled Mei Azhagan. Directed by Prem Kumar, it is touted to be a family emotional drama.

It also features Arvind Swamy, Swathi Konde, and Sri Divya in lead roles.

Meanwhile, critically acclaimed director Mari Selvaraj will direct Karthi28. Director Tamizh will wield the megaphone for his next.

Karthi28 will mostly go on floors in 2025 since the actor is now working on Dhruv Vikram’s sports drama and has to wrap up another with Dhanush.
