Tamil director KS Ravikumar returns to Sandalwood with Shiva Rajkumar-Ganesh film

The filmmaker last directed ‘Kotigobba 2’ in Kannada which featured Kiccha Sudeep and Nithya Menen in the lead and was a hit.

Popular Tamil director KS Ravikimar started his career as an assistant to renowned director Bharathi Raja and eventually went on to make several blockbusters with Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

In Kannada, he delivered Kotigobba 2 starring Kichha Sudeepa and Nithya Menen in the lead. The film was a commercial hit.

Now, Ravikumar is all set to return to Sandalwood with his second directorial venture.

The filmmaker seems to have been inspired by pan-Indian projects. His next Kannada flick will have Hat-trick hero Dr Shiva Rajkumar and Golden Star Ganesh sharing the screen space for the first time.

There is no official information about this yet-to-be-titled project though.

Meanwhile, a photo of Ravikumar, Shiva Rajkumar, Ganesh, and Kannada producer Surappa Babu went viral on social media, leading to speculations that the multi-starrer film would soon go on the floors.

While several ace Kannada actors like Ravichandran, Upendra, Sudeep, and Daali Dhananjay, worked with Shiva Rajkumar, this is the first time for Ganesh who is known for his rom-com flicks.

Ravi Basrur on board Bharathi Rangal

Composer Ravi Basrur who shot to fame with his work in the KGF series is busy these days with back-to-back big-budget films.

After scoring the music for Kabzaa, starring Upendra, Kiccha Sudeep and Dr Shiva Rajkumar, he has been roped in for Bhairathi Ranagal.

The movie is produced by Dr Shiva Rajkumar’s home banner Geetha Pictures. The production house recently bankrolled Vedha, a box office hit.

Directed by Narthan, Bharathi Ranagal is inspired by a character with a similar name from his previous film Mufti.
