On previews & feedback

Well, the marketing strategy did work and the film created a positive buzz. For a change, the cast and crew did not give similar interviews to the media.

“We screened Writer Padmabhushan ahead of the release date for a select gathering in several places. We went to Vijayawada, Guntur, and Bheemavaram, among other places. The energy that the crowd displayed and the love they showered were crazy,” she said.

“Just look at the vibe in the videos. The audience had a great time watching our movie. This way of promoting a film is quite advantageous. For, we get to know what to expect from the viewers.”

The cast and crew asked the audience to share their opinion about Writer Padmabhushan (good or bad) but requested them not to reveal the content. “We requested them to not leak any scene in excitement. But there was a festive atmosphere in all the theatres,” a visibly delighted Sri Gouri Priya exclaimed.

“Singers are expressive with their voices when they sing a melancholic number. I usually get into that mood. Ditto with other songs and their respective emotions. That’s how I pull off my roles,” she was all smiles.

Up for challenging roles

Since she is a resident of Padmarao Nagar in Secunderabad, when asked if director Sekhar Kammula is her neighbour, she replied; “Actually, no. But I am close to his family. I even did a small role in his Love Story.”

The actor loves to explore life and is a game when it comes to roles that challenge her. “I am like water; I like to adapt. Being here during the OTT era is indeed a reassuring feeling but I believe in being optimistic and not overconfident, she asserted.
