Dancing sensation Sreeleela, who made quite a splash in Tollywood, is further going South to test her luck in Tamil cinema.

Rumours are abuzz that she turned down a chance to feature in a special dance number, in Thalapathy Vijay-starrer, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), directed by Venkat Prabhu.

Looks like she declined the offer, though it came from Vijay himself.

Industry insiders claim that the actor took this decision because she didn’t want to make her Tamil film debut with a “special dance number”.

Fans of Sreeleela were a tad disappointed as they had been anticipating seeing her and Vijay do dance moves.

Touted to be a sci-fi thriller, GOAT (also starring Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Ajmal Amir, and Laila among others), is all set to release on September 5.

Sreeleela’s recent hit number “Kurchi Madathapetti” alongside Superstar Mahesh Babu in Guntur Karaam (2024) was raved by audiences on social media. The film tasted a setback at the box office though.

Having made a mark in Tollywood with successes like Dhamaka (2023) and Bhagavanth Kesari (2023), fans feel that Sreeleela appears to have distinct plans for her career in Kollywood.

Not just the looks and the craft, Sreeleela is known for choosing wisely the way she wanted her career to be.

Fans feel that not many female actors make such wise decisions even when they touch the peaks of their careers as much as Sreeleela does.
