The director brings in a ghost that strictly does not like any kind of affection. It punishes the offenders and also the audience in the end!

Spooky College (Kannada)
Coming from the makers of Rangitaranga, Spooky College gave rise to quite some expectations.
Unfortunately, the supposedly spooky venture turns out to be a horrific and not a horror film that normally scares well with an edge-of-the-seat experience, if not at least entertaining the audience.
Like the majority (99.99 percent) of horror movies, Spooky College is set in a haunted place. In this case, it is a 103-year-old building that dates back to the British era.
No prizes for guessing that the ghost could be a foreigner! Mind it, the ghost does not quite like any kind of affection.
Cut to the present day (in the film), and the building has been renovated and turned into an engineering college-cum-hostel.
Strange as it may sound, the prestigious college is located near the forest with no signs of life nearby.
Of course, there are scenes of lights going on or off, thunderclaps and lightning, and cupboards moving on their own.
And yes, a few people get killed by the ghost for daring to violate the rules by uttering the forbidden words.
What makes this film so hard to watch is its script, making, performances, and the past behind the ghost/ghosts. Basically, everything.
In an attempt to scare the audience, the movie goes haywire from a British army officer being the cause of all the spooky acts to another dejected lover coming back to haunt the college.
Kushee Ravi plays Kushi (happiness), who has a past. Two years ago, she had an affair with one of her classmates, which ended on a scary note.
Coincidentally, a junior (played by Vivek Sinha) of hers in the college follows her for her attention. Meanwhile, the British army officer’s ghost keeps the “haunting” going.

The silly sequences and not-so-scary tale mixed with pathetic performances mar the whole ghost experience.
It’s a no-brainer to guess the climax, but the billion-dollar question is how a horror film could be made this horrific.
Somewhere in the middle, there is a remix of the classic song “Mellusire Savigana” from the 1960s classic Veera Kesari. That’s all, folks.
