Shruti Haasan bags the opportunity to sing for Sandman

Popular singer-actor Shruti Haasan has now added another feather to her cap: She is lending her voice to the international audio drama Sandman: Act III.

The actor and her fans are super happy about her achievement, and are looking forward to the project.

The third instalment of the New York Times bestselling multi-part original audio drama series has been released exclusively on Audible by DC.

Haasan plays the character of a landlady at the World’s End inn in the series. This is Shruti’s third international project after Treadstone and Frozen 2.

The series also stars James McAvoy, Kat Dennings, Miriam Margoyles, and Justin Vivian Bond, among others.

On the film front, Shruti will be seen in Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, opposite Prabhas.

Apart from Salaar, the actress is busy shooting for NBK 107 opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna and Chiru 154 opposite Chiranjeevi.

Only Chiranjeevi can sleep on my couch, says Salman Khan

The pre-release event of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan-starrer Godfather took place in Mumbai on Saturday, 1 October. The event was graced by both stars and many personalities and reporters from Mumbai.

Speaking at the event, actor Salman Khan was all praise for Chiranjeevi and said, “When they say casting couch does not exist, they’re wrong. The casting couch does exist.”

He added: “We were doing a commercial together in Thailand. We came back to Mumbai. He (Chiranjeevi) was to take a flight to Hyderabad the next morning. So, the only person apart from me who slept on my couch was Chiru garu.”

Salman went on to say: “He landed about 1:30 am. We sat up and spoke. I asked him to go to the bedroom to sleep. But he wanted to sleep on the couch. How do I tell him that I sleep on the couch (laughs)? I said okay. I went to the bedroom and went to sleep and he slept on the couch.”

He added: “I was cast in this film because of that. Chiru garu told me that there’s a small role in this film. I said Chiru garu, make me stand behind you, I’m fine. He said: ‘No, I’ll give you a very noble role.’ And that’s what he did. It’s the love for cinema that you have and I have.”
