Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has been captivating audiences for over 30 years, has added another accolade to his name. Paris’s Grevin Museum has honoured him with a customised gold coin, making Shah Rukh the only Indian actor to receive this distinction at the museum.

Grevin Museum in Paris issued the gold coin to honour the actor, with the Shah Rukh Khan Universe Fan Club sharing the news and a picture of the coin on X.

Shah Rukh Khan, 58, has a wax statue at the Grevin Wax Museum in Paris alongside other Bollywood stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranveer Singh.

In 2023, Shah Rukh made a notable comeback with three films: Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, ending a five-year hiatus from the big screen. Both Pathaan and Jawan were blockbusters. He also made a cameo in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3.

His next project is an action film titled King, which is set to co-star his daughter Suhana and actor Abhishek Bachchan.

Further, Shah Rukh Khan will be honoured with the Career Achievement Award at the Locarno Film Festival for his remarkable career in Indian cinema, encompassing over 100 films across various genres.

The 77th Locarno Film Festival runs from 7 to 17 August. Shah Rukh will receive the award on 10 August at the Piazza Grande open-air venue, where his film Devdas (2002) will be screened. This will be followed by a conversation with the Bollywood star on 11 August.

Shah Rukh Khan, in an interview, shared that he fully invests himself in each film but needs to detach afterwards.

“I give my all to a project and then need to step away. It takes a toll, and I can’t keep track of things like the business of Chennai Express (2013). Some people may feel disconnected because I withdraw. I give everything to one film, then move on to the next with renewed passion, which can make me feel reclusive and lonely,” he said.

He also mentioned, “I promised myself that by age 50, I would focus on films that matter to me personally. While I’ll still do commercial films, I plan to create and act in the cinema I truly want. I aim to do three films a year.”

Shah Rukh recently topped the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list, with estimated earnings of $37.7 million last year, according to the magazine. In the rankings, Salman Khan secured the second spot with earnings of $30 million, followed by cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni in third place with $25 million.

The magazine noted, “While Salman Khan and Dhoni are more popular and famous, Shah Rukh Khan leads due to his substantial earnings, primarily from brand endorsements.”

Most celebrities on the list are aged between 30 and 50. The Forbes special edition, featuring rankings across eight categories including actors, musicians, models, and sportspeople, was set to hit newsstands on Saturday.
