Salaar

Fans went berserk on social media after learning that Prabhas’ highly-anticipated film Salaar might not be released in theatres on the scheduled date — 22 December.

A few national web portals reported that Salaar producers might play a safe game by pulling it out at the last minute to avoid a clash with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dunki, which is also releasing on the same date.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar has been in the news constantly for changing release dates. The high stakes and massive budget of the movie made the expectations soar in every industry.

However, the Prabhas-starrer has its share of rumours giving trouble to the makers. The film got delayed several times in the past for obvious reasons.

Now, as the movie is set to hit the screens worldwide on 22 December, rumours kept surfacing about its postponement.

Even after the speculation in the media, the makers are tight-lipped about the gossip and haven’t confirmed the news on Salaar‘s postponement.

Meanwhile, Malayalam actor-producer Prithviraj Sukumaran mentioned in a Facebook post that his Prithviraj Productions will present Salaar in Kerala. He also confirmed the release date of the pan-Indian film — 22 December 2023 — in the post.

The pan-Indian film boasts an ensemble cast of Prithviraj Sukumaran as Varadharaja Mannaar, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, Madhu Guruswamy, Chandu Kanuri, and Dayanand Reddy.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the first trailer of Salaar will be dropped by the end of November or in early December.
