Abraham Ozler Mammootty cameo

Even as Jayaram’s Abraham Ozler is gearing up for a grand release on 11 January, speculations about Malayalam Superstar Mammootty’s cameo appearance in the movie are rife.

Initially, there were reports that Mammootty would do an extended cameo role in the flick directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The rumours spread after the launch of the trailer.

Movie buffs, especially Mammootty fans, felt that a dialogue in the trailer — “A Devil’s Alternative” — sounded like Mammootty’s voice.

When asked during a promotional interview, Midhun Manuel Thomas said it was a technical glitch in sound mixing and denied a cameo by Mammootty. He added that he “wasn’t aware of Mammootty’s presence in Abraham Ozler“.

When inquired about the rumours that Mammootty was seen in the location of Abraham Ozler, Midhun Manuel Thomas clarified that he doesn’t know if his assistant directors had shot any scenes of Mammootty and if those pics went viral

Jayaram also stated that he worked on the movie for 54 days and did not see Mammootty in the location.

In the movie’s trailer, Abraham Ozler is shown as a person with a haunting past; he is an insomniac, too.

In a voiceover, Ozler is introduced as a person who walks as a deadman — broken, cursed, and forgotten.

Jayaram plays the titular role, and his makeover is the main highlight of the Malayalam film.

The medical thriller created a buzz in the industry since reputed filmmaker Midhun Manuel Thomas is helming it.

Midhun Manuel Thomas, who earlier helmed the dark psycho thriller Anjam Pathira (2019), is all set to deliver an edge-of-the-seat thriller through Abraham Ozler.

Randheer Krishnan wrote the script. Midhun Mukundan composed the background score.

Abraham Ozler also marks the comeback of Jayaram in Malayalam. His previous Malayalam movie was Makal (2022) directed by Sathyan Anthikad.
