The Lijo Jose's directorial casts Mohanlal in lead role; Nivin Pauly joins the sets of 'Pauly 42'; trailer of 'Vedikettu' unveiled.

Malaikottai Valiban is the much-anticipated movie of Mohanlal. The veteran actor will join hands with sensational filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellichery for the first time.
Ever since the project has been announced, movie buffs are eagerly waiting for the film since Pellichery has a unique style of filmmaking.
His latest movie Nanpakal Nerath Mayakkam with Mammootty, another heavyweight actor in Malayalam, earned appreciation from both audience and critics.
Now, the buzz is that Kantara-actor Rishabh Shetty will feature in Malaikottai Vaaliban. However, neither the production team nor the actor confirmed it yet.
Earlier, there were unconfirmed reports that Kamal Haasan and Tamil actor Jiiva will be part of the film following which expectations started running high for the movie.
The film is also touted to be an important project for Mohanlal as his earlier works didn’t fare well at the box office.
The shooting of Malaikottai Vaaliban commenced in Rajasthan recently. It is produced by John and Mary Creative, Century Films, and Maxlab. Madhu Neelakandan is the cinematographer. Prashant Pillai is the music director.
Nivin Pauly joined the sets of Haneef Adeni’s untitled movie which has ben tentatively named Pauly 42.
This will be the second time that the two are working together, after their unsuccessful collaboration with Mikhael (2019).
Pauly 42 casts Vinay Fort, Jaffer Idukki, Mamitha Baiju, Arsha Baiju, and Vijilesh in pivotal roles.
The cinematography is by Vishnu Thandassery. The editing is by Thallumala-fame Nishadh Yusuf.
The music is composed by Mithun Mukundan who became popular with Garuda Gamana Vrishaba Vahana and Rorschach.
Pauly 42 is directed by Haneef Adeni and bankrolled by Magic Frames, and PaulyJr Pictures.
This is his third movie after The Great Father and Mikhael.
The trailer Vedikettu was launched at Hilite Mall in Kozhikode.
It is directed by Bibin George and Vishnu Unnikrishnan. The duo earlier scripted super hit films like Kattapanayile Ritwik Roshan and Amar Akbar Antony.
Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George are well-known actors in Malayalam films. They are popular for their comic films.
Vedikettu is an entertainer as its trailer suggests. Aiswarya Anil Kumar is the female lead.
The movie is produced by Badusha NM and Shinoy Mathew under Matinee Productions. It is slated to release on 3 February.
