In the wake of the gossip about the Tollywood celebrity couple — Suma and Rajeev Kanakala, their son Roshan Kanakala sprung a surprise to the media by talking about it.
On the sidelines of his recent interview about his silver screen debut Bubblegum, Roshan Kanakala was quizzed about the rumours surrounding his parents’ alleged divorce.
Roshan Kanakala replied that his parents laughed off the news about the ongoing speculations on social media. He was surprised how his parents were nonchalant about the gossip about the alleged “divorce that never happened”.
After the divorce news surfaced, Roshan Kanakala said he decided to confront his parents. He recalled asking his mother Suma about it at the dinner table. However, Suma replied, “Chi Chi, what are you talking about? There is nothing like that.”
Roshan also noted that it was not the first time such gossip had circulated in the media. He recollected that there had been numerous reports claiming that his parents were on the verge of ending their marriage. They initially confused him. But they were all baseless rumours, he added.
Roshan Kanakala clarified that like any couple, his parents too have their disagreements on specific topics. However, there was never a serious fight that would lead to a breakup.
Further, he emphasised that comments suggesting otherwise are untrue.
