Malayalam movie Iratta, after its premiere on Netflix, is getting rave reviews from the audience and critics.
Debutant director Rohit MG Krishnan’s emotional thriller features actor Joju George playing dual roles, for the first time in his career.
The twin brothers — Vinod and Pramod — were safe in the hands of Joju George who portrayed the two characters without many makeovers.
Due to the pandemic, Rohit MG Krishnan had to wait for a long time for his first film to finish. Now, he is ready to do a film for Red Chillies Entertainment owned by Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
In an interview with South First, Rohit revealed that he had an initial meeting with Red Chillies Entertainment for a movie.
On the second day of Iratta‘s theatrical release in Kerala, the filmmaker got a call from the production house. He immediately travelled to Mumbai to discuss the project.
While the director did not reveal the genre of the movie, he confirmed that it is a Hindi movie. He discussed the storyline with team Red Chillies Entertainment but is yet to begin writing the script.
“We had an initial discussion about the project. It’s not yet decided if Shah Rukh Khan will act in the film. I am waiting for the final decision and would start working on the movie soon,” Rohit MG Krishnan said.
Nevertheless, the director has no plans to quit Mollywood. “I want to do more movies in Malayalam and I’m glad to be part of Mollywood,” he declared.
Currently, he is discussing a couple of storylines for Malayalam films.
Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release Pathaan broke all box office records and even entered the ₹1000-crore club.
King Khan will be next seen in Jawaan directed by South Indian director Atlee. This is followed by Dunki directed by Rajkumar Hirani alongside Taapsee Pannu. It is again a production of Red Chillies Entertainment.
