The release of director Gautham Vasudev Menon’s much-awaited action entertainer, Dhruva Natchathiram featuring actor Vikram in the lead, has been postponed due to financial issues.

Taking to the social media platform X, Gautham Menon announced the news that his film would not be released on 24 November as announced earlier.

He wrote: “Sorry, unable to get Dhruva Natchathiram to the screens today. We tried our best. But looks like we need a day or two more.”

He further wrote: “Hoping to give everybody a good experience with advance bookings and proper screens everywhere around the world. The support for the film is heartwarming and has kept us going. Just a few more days and we’ll arrive.”

Director Gautham Menon has two cases filed against him.

On Thursday, 23 November, in a case filed against him by All In Pictures, the Chennai High Court ruled that Gautham Menon would have to pay the petitioner a sum of ₹2 crore before 10:30 am on Friday, 24 November, or that he shouldn’t release the film.

All In Pictures paid a sum of ₹2.40 crore to Gautham Menon to direct a film titled Superstar, featuring Simbu in the lead. However, the firm claimed that the director neither completed the film nor returned the money taken from the firm.

All In Pictures prayed to the court that Gautham Menon must not be allowed to release Dhruva Natchathiram without returning the money.

Unfortunately, the makers of Dhruva Natchathiram, it seems have been unable to repay the money within the stipulated time and therefore the film’s release has now been postponed again.
