Following rumours that he had been admitted to a hospital after complaining of breathing difficulty, Real Star Upendra took to Facebook on Thursday, 24 November, to talk about his health condition.

“I am totally fine and there is nothing to worry about. I was coughing for some time while shooting for my movie UI along with the entire directorial department,” he said.

“That’s it. I have resumed shooting of the film,” said the Real Star, as he went live to address the concerns of his fans about his health.

Upendra resumed shooting his next ambitious directorial project UI at Mohan B Kere Studios near Nelamangala town in the Bengaluru Rural district of Karnataka.

The team was shooting a fight sequence indoors at the studio when dust particles caused the actor some discomfort for a brief period. This led to rumours of him being taken to hospital for treatment.

After Uppi 2, Upendra returned to the direction of UI, which was launched in July this year.

He shot to fame with the direction of Om, starring Shivarajkumar. It turned out to be one of the most successful movies in the Kannada film industry, which saw a record 550 re-releases, for which it found a place in the Limca Book of Records.

Meanwhile, Upendra’s next — Kabza — is a pan-India venture directed by R Chandru, and is up for release in seven languages including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, and Odia.

Revolving around the underworld in Bengaluru, Kabza is one of the most expected releases from Sandalwood.

Recently, Head Bush, another movie based on the infamous Bengaluru underworld days, was in the news for the wrong reasons.

The makers were accused of insulting religious sentiments by a section of society.
