Ravi Teja’s first-look teaser from Waltair Veerayya amassed more than 2 million views within 24 hours of its release, and is trending on YouTube.

He is doing a cameo as a cop named ACP Vikram Sagar in the movie. The first-look poster was unveiled by Chiranjeevi on Monday, 12 December.

The roaring response to the poster came as good news for the actor, who has been going through a rough patch in his career for the past few months.

Besides Waltair Veerayya, Ravi Teja is busy promoting his upcoming film Dhamaka, on which he has pinned a lot of hope.

Directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina and produced by Peoples Media Factory, Dhamaka is releasing in theatres across the world on 23 December.

Ravi Teja is romancing young heroine Sreeleela in this big-budget flick, which is being promoted as a commercial action entertainer.

The actor is leaving no stone unturned to draw the audiences to the big screens as he badly needs a hit.

As part of the promotions, besides holding media interviews and special events, he is going the extra mile to reach out to his fans and movie lovers.

On Tuesday, he took part in a special photo event held for his fans in Hyderabad. He also organised an “Ask Ravi Teja” session on social media to interact with fans recently.

Since his last two films — Khiladi and Rama Rao on Duty — bombed at the box office, Ravi Teja needs to score a hit with Dhamaka to stay in the game.

The last time the actor got a proper hit was with Krack in January 2021. It’s been almost two years since, and the Kick actor is yet to set the cash registers ringing at the box office.

Apparently, this puts pressure on the senior hero and is keeping him busy with the promotions of Dhamaka.

Needless to say, if he fails to score a hit this time, things might get much tougher for the senior actor in the film industry, which is dictated solely by the box office success rate. Well, let’s see what’s in store for him!
