Thanks to Rajinianth fans, his forthcoming Tamil flick Thalaivar171 has been trending on social media since the day it was announced.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Thalaivar171 created a buzz on internet recently after the makers launched a monochrome poster of Rajinikanth. The poster went viral on social media.
On the occasion, Lokesh also announced that the film’s title would be revealed on 22 April.
Meawnhile, on Thursday, 28 March, Lokesh Kanagaraj released the first-look poster of Thalaivar171.
In the poster, Rajinikanth is seen wearing golden Rolex watches as handcuffs. He sports a rugged shirt and a pair of golden-framed sunglasses. He amplifies the look with a smug smile on his face.
While Rajinikanth is presented against a monochromatic background, his sunglasses, watches, and the title are all gold. The number “171” is red.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Lokesh Kanagaraj has been in talks with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh for his film Thalaivar171. It is learnt that Ranveer expressed his willingness to come on board. The actor is expected to an extended cameo in the flick.
However, there is no official announcement yet on Ranveer Singh’s presence in Thalaivar171.
Meanwhile, the Bollywood hero will work with Malayalam director Basil Joseph in a new Hindi movie based on Shakthimaan.
Interestinlgy, Lokesh’s previous movie Leo (2023), with Vijay in the lead, also had Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in a major role.
