Ever since Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s recent blockbuster film Animal created a furore in theatres, the OTT audience is eagerly waiting for the film to get streamed.
The pan-India film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna has achieved tremendous success, surpassing ₹900 crore in collections since its release on 1 December.
It has been reported that Netflix has acquired the digital rights of Animal. The movie is likely to be available for streaming on Netflix before 26 January, with a scheduled release date of 15 January.
On the day of the Sankranthi festival, many people who cannot visit theatres are interested in watching their favourite films on OTT space. The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer might be released early for such people.
However, Netflix has not made any announcement regarding the release date of Animal. But it is learnt that the film would be released earlier than the planned date.
Though Animal received majorly negative reviews following its release, it was later praised by audiences for its impressive background music, memorable songs, and technical finesse.
However, there were opinions expressed that it stumbled in terms of story strength and screenplay execution.
