It has become a challenge for senior directors to get a movie offer if they fail to capitalise on the previous opportunity. Despite the changes in the mindset of current heroes, director Teja continues to receive notable offers, which is quite surprising.

Needless to say, the film Ahimsa (2023) starring Daggubati Abhiram turned out to be a box office dud earlier this year. The movie entered and exited theatres so swiftly that the audience was not even aware of its release until it was streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

Earlier, Teja faced a setback with Sita (2019) headlined by Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas.

Despite all these duds, Rana Daggubati still has not lost hope in the director. Teja is helming his next project, Rakshasa Raja.

Well, here is the reason why Rana is showing special interest in Teja: post-Baahubali (2015), the filmmaker delivered a hit with Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017) when the actor did not have a proper hit as a solo protagonist.

Gratitude might be the reason why Rana chose to continue working with Teja and his craft. Producer Suresh Babu may have shared the same sentiment in offering Teja another opportunity.

However, details about the female lead and the rest of the team are yet to be revealed.

In many ways, Rakshasa Raja serves as a decisive moment for Teja’s fluctuating career.

Nene Raju Nene Manthri demonstrated that director Teja, known for his routine love stories, could adeptly handle a political subject.

Once again, Teja bears the responsibility of maintaining Rana’s trust with Rakshasa Raja.

Meanwhile, Rana is playing a villain in Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Vishwambhara.
