The second lyrical song “Oh My Baby” from Mahesh Babu’s most-awaited film Guntur Kaaram has been making more news than expected as the disappointment of Mahesh Babu’s fans is all over social media platforms.

Earlier, music composer Thaman S faced the heat of the fans for its dull background score. Now, the latest to face the music is renowned lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry.

Ramajogayya Sastry is a lyricist who loves and writes songs akin to the standards of the late Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry.

Following the mixed response the soundtrack received, trolls started abusing the lyricist. Fans found fault with “Oh My Boy” saying it has too many English words!

They argued that the originality of Telugu songs was missing from the soundtrack. They also predicted that director Trivikram would lose Telugu audiences if he tried out such things.

Infuriated with this, Ramajogayya Sastry reacted strongly to the negative comments.

In his post on X, the lyricist said everyone has become a critic these days. “Why do you keep throwing stones at me? There is a proper way to air your views,” he wrote while asking what is the element that is missing in the song except for the length of it.

Immediately later, he deactivated his X account.

Interestingly, Ramajogayya Sastry never expressed his anger against fans in the past. The lyrics for the first song in Guntur Kaaram — “Dum Masala“, were also penned by him and the soundtrack got a reasonably good response from audiences.
