I don’t want to fight with my daughter in this space, says Telugu actor Ram Charan. (X)

Ram Charan pleasantly surprised his fans on Father’s Day 2024 by unveiling a long-awaited moment—the first glimpse of his daughter Klin Kaara. In a heartwarming photograph shared by a member of his team on X (formerly Twitter), the actor can be seen beaming with joy as he holds his little daughter in his arms.

On 16 June, Ram Charan revealed to a prominent English newspaper his hopes for his daughter’s future, expressing a wish for her to follow a path similar to his wife Upasana’s rather than his own. He elaborated that given the presence of many actors in his illustrious family, he would rather not see his daughter enter into direct competition within that sphere.

He said, “I think it would be great if Klin chose to follow her mother’s path. There are so many actors within our family. The film industry is already quite congested with numerous releases each year, and we often find ourselves competing for release dates. Therefore, I would prefer not to enter into this competitive space with my daughter.”

Upasana Kamineni is involved in business, whereas Ram and most of his cousins, such as Allu Arjun, Varun Tej, and Sai Dharam Tej, are actors.

Chiranjeevi, the grandfather dearest

During the interview, Ram shared that Chiranjeevi is an affectionate grandfather. Additionally, he expressed his preference to be addressed by a distinctive name in Telugu instead of the traditional thatha.

“When he’s with Klin, he takes on the role of her elder sibling. He lets her playfully hit and punch him—it’s incredibly endearing to witness that side of my father. He insists not to be called grandfather, finding it too conventional; instead, he prefers to be called Chirutha. In Telugu, ‘thatha’ means grandfather, and he combines it with ‘Chiru’, which also means cheetah,” Ram Charan was quoted, as saying.

Interestingly, Ram’s first film in 2007 was named Chirutha and was directed by Puri Jagannadh.

Ram Charan and Upasana tied the knot in 2012. Their first child, Klin Kaara, was born on 20 June 2023, and she will soon celebrate her first birthday.

On the acting front, Ram Charan is set to feature in Shankar’s upcoming film, Game Changer. Additionally, he has committed to projects with directors Buchi Babu Sana and Sukumar.
