Kangana Ranaut is shooting in Chennai for her next film with director AL Vijay where she is pairing up with Madhavan after eight years.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who began shooting for director AL Vijay’s next film in Chennai on Saturday, 18 November, was pleasantly surprised after Superstar Rajinikanth paid a surprise visit to the sets and wished the entire unit on their first day.
Taking to social media platform X, Kangana shared pictures of herself with the superstar and wrote” “On our first day of shoot, God of Indian cinema, Thalaivar, himself thrilled us with a surprise visit on our set. What a lovely day!! Missing Actor Madhavan as he joins us soon.”
Actor Madhavan too responded to Kangana’s tweet on X with a tweet of his own.
Thanking Rajinikanth, Madhavan said that it was God’s grace and that the project had got off to a phenomenal beginning. “Your wishes and blessing mean the world to us,” he told Rajinikanth.
The film, a psychological thriller, is being produced by Trident Arts International and Ahimsa Entertainment.

What is interesting about the movie is that it will be the first film Kangana and Madhavan will be working together on after almost eight years.
Director Vijay is teaming up with Kangana for the second time. They earlier worked together on Thalaivi, a biopic of former Tamil Nadu chief minister late J Jayalalaithaa.
Ahimsa Entertainment, one of the production houses bankrolling this flick, tweeted: “Grateful and honoured to receive the blessings of Superstar Rajinikanth as we kickstart our new project with Trident Arts, featuring Kangana Ranaut and Madhavan together again after 8 years!”
The film, which is yet to be titled, will have director Vijay’s favourite cinematographer, Nirav Shah, manning the camera.
