It may be recalled that PVR Inox has introduced the PVR-Inox passport scheme for cinephiles to watch 10 movies every month for just ₹699.
Following social media backlash over PVR-Inox’s monthly subscription scheme which excluded South Indian film buffs, the Indian multiplex chain has been mulling to reverse its decision.
It will soon open the scheme to film lovers in South India.
It may be recalled that PVR Inox has introduced the PVR-Inox passport scheme for cinephiles to watch 10 movies every month for just ₹699.
“We’re all set to relaunch the passport scheme in a couple of weeks and we’re making it available in south India too,” a representative from PVR-Inox told South First.
Unlike only 20,000 subscriptions earlier, the PVR is going to offer five times more subscriptions.
“Ever since we have opened the pre-registrations for subscriptions we have been receiving a massive response from south India,” the source added.
When PVR launched the monthly subscription programme last year, the first edition had a few terms and conditions—the offer was valid only from Monday to Thursday.
A three-month lock-in period and limited subscriptions—all these received critical feedback from movie lovers.
