Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari pushpa bail

The news of character artiste Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, the sidekick who played alongside Allu Arjun in Pushpa (2021), startled the film industry when he was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide of a female actor.

He was accused of allegedly taking photographs of the victim and threatening her. Jagadeesh was arrested in Hyderabad and sent for remand.

However, the artiste turned out to be an indispensable cast of Pushpa: The Rule.

After the news broke out, the morale of the film unit reportedly went down. Even though they tried shooting with a dupe, it was not working out in the second franchise of Pushpa 2.

Moreover, director Sukumar does not want to compromise on the quality of Pushpa: The Rule. The producers Mythri Movie Makers too felt the same.

That’s why they started trying to bail out Jagadeesh from the legal tangle so that they could complete the crucial portions of Pushpa 2. It is reported that they are spending around ₹15 lakh on Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari for his bail.

Reports suggested that Jagadeesh might be granted bail only until the completion of the film’s shoot. This is the first time such an incident has taken place in the history of Telugu cinema.

Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari essayed the role of Keshav in Pushpa: The Rise, sharing considerable screen time with the protagonist Allu Arjun in the first part. It is anticipated that his role will have significance in the second part, too.
