prithviraj Aadujeevitham release

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s most anticipated movie, Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life) is set for release for Vishu on 10 April 2024.

The actor shared the update along with an introduction video on social media on Thursday, 30 November.

The movie will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Aadujeevitham is creating a buzz on the internet and social media every time a fan-made picture is posted.

On 5 November, Prithviraj released the official poster, which showed the actor — who plays the character of Najeeb — surrounded by goats in a desert.

A few months ago, director Blessy said he was hurt to watch the video footage of the movie being circulated on the internet, but he confirmed that it was not the official trailer.

He revealed that it was a video clip sent to foreign agencies.

Based on a real story

Directed by Blessy, Aadujeevitham is a survival drama based on a novel by Benyamin of the same name. The novel is based on a true story and depicts the harrowing life of Najeeb, who becomes a goatherd on a farm in Saudi Arabia.

“The greatest challenge in front of me was that The Goat Life is a subject with universal appeal, and I would have to stay truthful to its narrative style. The novel is based on some real incidents and I want to captivate the viewers with each moment that something unbelievable happened to someone,” said Blessy.

The director added: “Truth has never been so much stranger than fiction. The scale of the movie demands to be felt within the confines of a theatre and we are excited to bring this magnum opus to audiences around the world.”

Delayed due to pandemic

The makers have been working on the film since 2018. The pandemic played a spoilsport for the shooting as the crew was stuck in Jordan due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

The film was shot in Pathanamthitta and Palakkad areas in Kerala, Algeria, and Wadiram (Jordan).

Prithviraj shed a lot of weight for the film. In an interview, the actor said he adopted a few unhealthy ways to transform into Najeeb.

Amala Paul is the female lead in the flick. It also features KR Gokul, Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, and Arab actors Talib al Balushi and Rikaby in pivotal roles.

The movie is produced by Visual Romance. AR Rahman is composing the music for Aadujeevitham.

Resul Pookutty is handling the sound design. KS Sunil is the cinematographer and Sreekar Prasad is the editor.

Currently, the post-production work is going on in full swing.
