Mangalavaaram, the latest Telugu film made under the combination of RX 100 (2018) director Ajay Bhupathi and heroine Payal Rajput, has entered the second week at the box office.
Thanks to the hype and promotional activity from the team, the film saw good openings. But, on the second day, the collections fell miserably.
Owing to the third day (Sunday, 19 November) coinciding with the World Cup final match between India and Australia, the footfalls in theatres and multiplexes in semi-urban towns fell abysmally.
Mangalavaaram did a theatrical business of ₹12 crore. If the movie wants to break even, it needs to earn a share of ₹12.5 crore.
By the end of the first weekend, it collected a share of ₹5.41 crore.
In the Nizam region, the film collected ₹2.10 crore, while the theatres in the Ceeded region did a business of ₹0.78 crore.
It earned a revenue of ₹0.65 crore in the North Andhra region, ₹0.38 crore in East Godavari, ₹0.26 crore in West Godavari, ₹0.32 crore in Guntur, ₹0.20 crore in Krishna district, and ₹0.14 crore in Nellore.
Mangalavaaram collected a total of ₹4.83 crore in both AP and Telangana and ₹0.58 crore in the rest of India and overseas. The worldwide collection was put at ₹5.41 crore.
