Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly and Tamil director Ram’s forthcoming film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai (Seven Seas, Seven Hills) has evoked a positive response from the audience at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).
Anna Wabeke, the Head of Communications at the IFFR, has appreciated Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai in the festival.
Wabeke described the project as a true gem of Tamil cinema and felt that it deserves a big screen watch. She also stated that the movie was moving, funny, and exciting.
Expectations started running high on Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai after the launch of the two-minute trailer recently.
The fantasy romance drama is set in a contemporary world.
The movie casts Nivin Pauly, Anjali, and Soori in the lead roles.
In the trailer, Nivin Pauly is seen explaining his 4000-year-old love story to Soori during a train journey. He says he met Anjali for the first time as a queen.

The world premiere of Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai was held at IFFR on 30 January. In a social media post, Nivin Pauly reported the same.
Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai is the fifth directorial venture of Ram. He is known for his critically acclaimed films like Taramani (2017) and Peranbu (2018).
Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by NK Ekhambram.
It is produced by Suresh Kamatchi under V House Productions.
This is Nivin Pauly’s second Tamil movie after Richie (2017), a box-office dud.
The Malayalam actor will next be seen in Malayalee from India and Varshangalkku Shesham.
