Nawazuddin Siddiqui received a remuneration almost on par with Venkatesh for Saindhav

Saindhav, which happened to be the landmark 75th film of Daggubati Venkatesh, fell flat at the box office with poor reviews.

Now, the Telugu film has stirred controversy as reports suggest that with a whopping budget of ₹75 crore, a large portion was allocated to the remuneration of the stars.

Producer Venkat Boinapally invested money in Saindhav by banking on the track record of the star cast and director Sailesh Kolanu.

Sailesh Kolanu earned a name for himself with the twin investigative thrillers HIT: The First Case (2020) and HIT: The Second Case (2022).

It is reported that Venkatesh reportedly received a modest remuneration ranging between ₹10 to ₹12 crore for Saindhav.

However, the most surprising element for the film circles is Nawazuddin Siddiqui receiving ₹8 crore, almost on par with the lead actor Venkatesh.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui essayed the role of the antagonist in the flick. Saindhav marked his debut in Telugu.

Actor Arya, another notable name in the cast, is learnt to have been paid ₹4 crore.

Following its release on 20 January, Saindhav registered a first-week box office collection of ₹13.75 crore. In its first five days, the movie collected ₹13.50 crore.

The movie also stars Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, Andrea Jeremiah, and Arya in key roles.

Written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the story is about protagonist SaiKo, who crosses paths with the underworld to save his daughter from a health crisis.
