Fans of Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery have been waiting for the new updates of Malaikottai Valiban, touted to be a much-anticipated project in the career of Mohanlal.

The film unit completed its 77-day shooting schedule at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Mohanlal will soon go for a short tour with his family and join the sets in May.

Lijo Jose Pellissery confirmed the same in a video and thanked the Malaikottai Valiban team for their support in finishing the shoot in Rajasthan.

The rest of the shooting will be held at Gokulam Studios in Chennai in May. The post-production will be completed in five months.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal travelled from Jaisalmer to Irinjalakuda to pay his last respects to actor Innocent who died battling cancer on 26 March.

Malaikottai Valiban is jointly produced by John and Mary Creative, Century Films, and Maxlab. It also casts Hareesh Perady and Manikandan Achari.

Madhu Neelakandan is the cinematographer. Prashant Pillai is the music director.

Narain-Meera Jasmine team up again for Queen Elizabeth

After more than a decade, Meera Jasmine and Narain are working together for their forthcoming flick Queen Elizabeth. They earlier appeared in Achuvinte Amma (2005) and Minnaminnikoottam (2008).

Narain was seen in the bilingual movie Adrishyam earlier this year.

M Padmakumar is directing Queen Elizabeth. His last movie was Pathaam Valavu (2022).

It is produced by Ranjith Manambarakatt, Sriram Manambarakatt and M Padmakumar under Blue Mount Productions.

The shooting started in Kochi recently. The movie will also be shot in Kuttikanam and Coimbatore in the coming days.

It also features, Shwetha Menon, Ramesh Pisharody, V K Prakash, Shyama Prasad, Johnny Antony, Mallika Sukumaran, Jude Anthany Joseph, Arya, Shruthi Rajanikanth, Saniya Babu, Neena Kurup, Manju Pathrose, and Vineeth.

Jithu Damodar is the cinematographer and Ranjin Raj is the music director.

Video song of Adi released

Adi (Slap), which stars Ahaana Krishna and Shine Tom Chacko in leads, will hit the screens for Vishu on 14 April.

A new video song “Thone Mohangal” from the movie featuring Ahaana Krishna and Shine Tom Chacko as a married couple was launched online on 4 April.

Earlier, a new teaser of the movie was released.

Adi is directed by Prasobh Vijayan who previously directed Lilli (2018) and Anveshanam (2020). It is produced by Malayalam stars Dulquer Salmaan and Jim Varghese.
