Vijayaraghavan to headline 'Ouseppinte Osyath', shoot commences

The shooting of the upcoming Malayalam movie, Ouseppinte Osyath, featuring veteran actor Vijayaraghavan in the lead role, has commenced after a pooja ceremony.

It is being filmed at the picturesque village of Peerumedu in Kerala’s Idukki. The team is shooting major scenes near a large estate bungalow located in the Elappara–Vagamon route.

Ouseppinte Osyath marks the debut of Sarath Chandran. According to the filmmaker, the bungalow would be presented as the ancestral home of the central character and it plays an important role in the narrative.

The movie is touted to be an emotional family drama set against the backdrop of tea plantations and cardamom groves.

Fazal Hassan wrote the story for Ouseppinte Osyath. Antony Edward and Sushil Thomas are producing it. Aravind Kannabiran is the cinematographer and B Ajith Kumar is the editor. Sumesh Parameswar is composing the music.

The film reportedly revolves around a wealthy money lender and his sons. Ousepp (Vijayaraghavan) is an 80-year-old patriarch and miser. He dictates the terms for his three sons (played by Dileesh Pothan, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and Hemanth Menon). What happens when the family faces a tragedy is what the movie is about.

Apart from Vijayaraghavan, Ouseppinte Osyath casts Kani Kusruti, Anjali Krishna, Sajadh Bright, Jordi Poonjar, Joji Mundakayam, James Elia, and Zharin Shihab in key roles.

On the other hand, Kani Kusruti was recently seen in the Malayalam web series Nagendran’s Honeymoons, which is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Kalabhavan Shajohn recently played a key role in Dhyan Sreenivasan’s latest outing Partners. Meanwhile, Dileesh Pothan’s O.Baby received a good response after its premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
