Vaazha teaser announces new release date for the film - 15 August

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam movie Vaazha-Biopic of A Billion Boys have released a teaser. The teaser gives the impression that the movie will be a wholesome entertainer.

The Vaazha teaser has several funny moments involving a group of teenage boys and their funny encounters with their parents. The movie is drawing huge expectations because of the promotional materials.

Vaazha boasts of a young cast and crew, promising a sense of freshness to the viewers.

In June, the makers launched the first-look poster, which introduced all the main characters in the film. It also evoked raised curiosity among moviegoers about the genre and the storyline.

Vaazha is directed by Anand Menen, who debuted in the industry with Gauthamante Radham (2020).

The Malayalam movie stars Jeomon Jyothir, Saaf Boi, Hashiree, Anuraj, and Amith Mohan Rajeswari in the lead roles. Kottayam Nazeer, Siju Sunny of Romancham (2023) fame, Noby Marcose, Basil Joseph, and Azees Nedumangad play the supporting cast.

Aravind Puthussery and Kannan Mohan are the cinematographers. Babu Pillai is the art director.

The screenplay was written by director Vipin Das, who helmed super-hit films like Mudhugauv (2016), Antakshari (2022), Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022) and Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil (2024).

Vipin Das is also producing the movie under his banner WBTS Productions, in collaboration with Haris Desom, PB Anish, and Adarsh Narayan of Imagin Cinemas. The movie will be released on 15 August.

Earlier, the makers announced that Vaazha would hit the screens on 2 August. However, they pushed the date further due to some reason.

In an interview, Vipin Das stated that Vaazha has loads of humour and is an emotional film focusing on men’s issues that are rarely discussed. He also pointed out that it would be a male version of his Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey.

Anand Menen’s Gauthamante Radham was headlined by Neeraj Madhav. It follows the story of Gautam and his love towards his first car, a Tata Nano. The film was a box-office hit.
