Parvathy Tiruvothu and Urvashi starrer Ullozhukku has added yet another feather in its cap. The screenplay of the film written by director Christo Tomy has been added to the prestigious Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Ullozhukku marks the directorial debut of Christo Tomy, best known for his internationally acclaimed Netflix documentary Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case (2023).
The film features Alencier, Arjun Radhakrishnan, Prasanth Murali, Jaya Kurup, and Veenah Nair in crucial roles. Sushin Shyam composed the music. The intense family drama was elevated by his background score and soundtrack.
The film team on Wednesday, 23 October took to X, to share the news, they wrote: “We are thrilled to announce that Ullozhukku’s screenplay has been included in the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.”

Ullozhukku is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Honey Trehan, and Abhishek Chaubey under the banners of RSVP and MacGuffin Pictures.
Christo Tomy’s masterpiece delves into the lives of three characters—Leelamma (Urvashi), her son Thomas Kutty (Prasant Murali), and daughter-in-law Anju (Parvathy Thiruvothu).
Meanwhile, Ullozhukku has been recognised at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2023. In which Parvathy Tiruvothu won the Best Actress Award in August. Christo Tomy was also nominated for the Best Director-Critics Choice category.
Ulozhukku is streaming on Amazon Prime Video and found a place in the top 10 list in the first few days.
In June, Ullozhukku was screened at the prestigious Sunset Boulevard Theatre in Los Angeles during the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA). Christo Tomy and Parvathy attended the special premiere on 29 June.
