Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM), Tovino Thomas’s 50th movie, has entered the ₹50-crore club in just five days of its theatrical release.
The movie hit the theatres in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. It received positive responses from all the regions.
According to its makers, ARM earned ₹35 crore in four days and crossed the ₹50-crore mark by Wednesday, 18 September.
Thanking the audience for the grand success, the director of the movie Jithin Laal wrote: “I Am happy that I Am able to deliver what was promised.”
Jithin Laal previously promised that his first movie would be an entertainer which can be enjoyed by people of all age groups.
The feat was achieved despite the pirated versions of the film being circulated online. A day before, the director shared on his Facebook a video which showed a passenger travelling by train watching the pirated version of his new movie.
ARM is the ninth movie to collect ₹50 crore in 2024 after Premalu, Manjummel Boys, Bramayugam, Aavesham, Varshangalkku Shesham, Aadujeevitham, Turbo, and Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil.
While Ajayante Randam Moshanam is leading the Onam releases, Asif Ali’s Kishkindha Kaandam also received a tremendous response after the initial days. It, too, is set to become a blockbuster.
ARM earned around ₹4.90 crore net in India on its fifth day for all languages. The Malayalam movie is expected to earn well in the coming days as it’s vacation season too.
The family entertainer also has the advantage of being a 3D film with a fantasy tale.
It boasts a brilliant performance by Tovino Thomas, who appears in triple roles in three different periods. Surabhi Lakshmi also plays an important role in this big-budget film.
Tovino Thomas, in promotional interviews, stated that the movie had a total budget of ₹30 crore. In that case, the movie has by now become a profitable venture.
ARM is jointly produced by Magic Frames and UGM Films.
