Tharun Moorthy’s last directorial Thudarum, with Mohanlal and Shobana, had received praise from audience and critics.
Soon after the hit, the director has now announced his next project— Torpedo, starring Fahadh Faasil, Naslen, and Arjun Das.
Sharing the news on Instagram, the director wrote: “The journey continues…..!! With Torpedo, we dive into deeper waters. Words by Binu Pappu, Strength from Ashiq Usman and Soul from Naslen, Arjun Das, Ganapathi and Storm from Fahadh Faasil.”

Torpedo is penned by actor Binu Pappu. On the technical front, Jimshi Khalid handles cinematography, while Sushin Shyam composes the music and Vivek Harshan takes on editing duties. Sound design is by Vishnu Govind, with Gokul Das leading art direction. Costume design is managed by Mashar Hamsa, and action sequences are choreographed by Supreme Sundar.
Moorthy’s last film Thudarum was a family drama, and had collected over ₹100 crore according to the makers.
Meanwhile Fahadh Faasil also has Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira under the same production house, set to release on 4 September.
Written and directed by Althaf Salim, the film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan opposite Fahadh Faasil.
Fahadh Faasil will also be seen in the Tamil film Maareesan, directed by Sudheesh Sankar, alongside Vadivelu.
Naslen on the other hand, was last seen in Khalid Rahman’s sports drama, Alappuzha Gymkhana.
Naslen is also working under Arun Dominic. The yet-to-be-titled film is being bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer films and has Kalyani Priyadarshan opposite him.
