Tamil actors Saranya Ponvannan and Redin Kingsley to star in Dileep's Bha Bha Ba

Dileep’s upcoming Malayalam movie Bha Bha Ba is expected to be a mass entertainer. The film is helmed by debutant director Dhananjay Shankar and produced by Sree Gokulam Movies.

Dhananjay Shankar earlier worked as an associate director of Vineeth Sreenivasan.

Actors Fahim Safar and Noorin Shereef penned the script for the film. Bha Bha Ba marks the debut of Noorin as a writer, while Fahim co-wrote the screenplay for Joju George’s Madhuram (2021).

Vineeth Sreenivasan, Sidharth Bharathan, Balu Varghese, and Dhyan Sreenivasan are part of the film. Bha Bha Ba also stars Tamil actors Saranya Ponvannan, Redin Kingsley, and actor-choreographer Sandy Master in crucial roles.

With the makers roping in Tamil actors, Bha Bha Ba is drawing huge expectations from fans and industry insiders.

Sidharth Bharathan directed Dileep in Chandrettan Evideya (2015). He was recently seen in Mammootty’s Bramayugam where he played a major role.

On the other hand, Balu Varghese debuted in the Malayalam industry with Dileep-starrer Chanthupottu in 2005 and played a full-length role in the actor’s King Liar (2016).

Dileep looking for a break

In Bha Bha Ba, Dileep is believed to play a different character. The actor is known for doing experimental roles. His previous films—Kunjikoonan (2002), Chanthupottu (2005), and Pachakuthira (2006)—exemplify his fondness for variety.

The Malayalam actor is now working on his 150th film directed by debutant Binto Stephen. It is touted to be a family entertainer and produced by Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames. It is likely to be released for Onam.

Dileep’s recent releases, Bandra (2023), Thankamani (2024), and Pavi Caretaker (2024), were box-office duds. Hence, the actor is eagerly looking for a break in his career and has pinned all his hopes on Bha Bha Ba and his 150th film.
